Across London Christmas trees are going up at a feverish pace. Some of these trees will be themed and colour coordinated, others will be a mix of ornaments old and new. I personally favour the old and new eclectic mix option. Regardless of your views on tree schemes, as a fan of the bike it only seems fitting that you should have at least something bike related representing that love on the tree.
Topical baubles also make great Secret Santa gifts or stocking fillers. If you are looking for a great gift for the office cyclist, look no further. These are also all individual or handcrafted, making it just that little bit more special.
Here are 4 of the best we have found. You should be able to get your hands on one or more of these in time for Christmas.
Personalised ceramic bauble – £14.99
This one would make a great gift for the bike lover in your life. It is ceramic and you can personalise one side of it with writing. It will blend in well with other baubles on the tree but add a lovely cycling chic look.
Bamboo bicycle decorations – £11.50
These cool little bamboo bikes come in a pack of 4. The perfect gift for someone who has always been intrigued by alternative bicycle materials maybe?!
Bicycle chain star – £4
A somewhat subtle option suitable for sneaking onto controlled trees with themes. These could also be used as general decorations after Christmas should you wish.
Glittery cogs – £20
Coming in a pack of 3, these are also somewhat subtle from a distance and will therefore fit in with whatever other decorations you have. You can pick some of the colours, and come on, who doesn’t love a glittery decoration?!
Make your own
If you are inspired by these crafty decorations you could try making your own. With a little glitter and some glue, many old bike parts can be Christmas-ified. You could try making some bicycle themed paper snowflakes perhaps. Or you could get a rubber stamp with a bike on it and make some bicycle themed wrapping paper for those awesome gifts you brought people.
