EA recently announced that the Battlefield 4 open beta will be released on the 1st of October this year for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. This will allow players to try out Conquest mode on the new Siege of Shanghai map that was shown off during BF4′s E3 presentation. Early access to this beta is available to people who pre-ordered the Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe Edition through Origin, Battlefield 3 Premium members and registered owners of Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition or Deluxe Edition.

A beta is a great way of trying out a game in its initial stages to get a feel for what the finished product will be like, and just like Battlefield betas in the past you will be able to level up and unlock new weapons and customizations. The current gen version of the game will be released on October 29th for North America and November 1st for Europe, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. EA has also announced that the next-gen versions will be available not too long after, with the PS4 version releasing with the console on the 15th of November and the Xbox One version releasing on November 22nd.
