Ramon Tapia and Stavros ( the latter is nothing to do with Kojak, greek politics or Britain’s Got Talent) deliver a sexy, percussive tech house roller that is lifted by a trumpet hook so deadly you’d be mad not to play it wherever and whenever you get the oppportunity. Play it as loud as you can – it sounds amazing when the windows are open and you can hear it in the street. Your neighbours will love and hate you for it. One for the ‘End of Summer 2014’ charts make no mistake.

Originally released 1994 on classic London label Junior Boy's Own [JBO 24] and Italian label Underground Music Department (UMD) [UMD 187] 'Wild Luv' from Pete Heller & Terry Farley, contains a sample of "Instant Funk - Bodyshine". The track was re-visited in 2003 for the Junior Boy's Own Re-Edit Series – # 001 [JEDIT 001] and again in 2008 for JBO Revisited Vol.1 EP2 [JBODS024R]
The classic Roach Motel Wild Luv (Terry Farley & Peter Heller) will come back to life via Get Physical Music with an EP full of remixes. The Ep will be published as a full-blown tribute to DJ Pierre and the sound of the early nineties. A sound that inspired a genre and, in the opinion of Terry Farley, the best club of the decade. The Sound Factory in New York City where there was Junior Vazquez. "Wild Luv has stood the test of time and we hope that people now enjoy the remixes, including one by DJ Pierre himself." On sale August 8.

05. Sailor & I - Turn Around (Âme Remix) [Life And Death | LAD016]
Sailor & I are back with their latest productions for Life and Death. The two original tracks, while very different in moods, both share lush productions and a dramatic musical storytelling not often found in a typical dance release. While Boys & Girls offers a slowed-down mournful and yet beautiful nostalgic tale of childhood days gone by, Turn Around comes straight out of the gate like a racehorse on fire, flanked by strong strings and a vocal that pleads a case for love that comes straight from the heart.
And of course rounding out the release is arguably one of the most anticipated tracks of the summer. Ever since it first started falling on people’s ears earlier this year, the Âme remix of “Turn Around” has been the high point of sets by Tale of Us, Dixon, Mano Le Tough as well as the few select others that have had their hands on it up until this point. It’s been giving goosebumps to club goers everywhere and with good reason — this is Âme at their finest, taking the song and extending it into an epic masterpiece that works wonders on a dancefloor while never losing the bewitching essence of the original.

The legendary Booka Shade's pulsating remix of Digitalism and Youngblood Hawke's soon to be summer anthem.
As acts like Erol Alkan and the Klaxons were blurring the lines between indie rock and dance music in 2007, Germany's Digitalism were mashing garage band attitude with pumping electro music while in cahoots with the stylish French house label Kitsuné Music. After meeting in a record store and joining forces as a DJ team, Jens Moelle and Ismail Tuefekci decided to create a dance project that acted as a band and dubbed it Digitalism. Sounding like Daft Punk with a real live drummer, the single "Idealistic" introduced the band in 2004, first as a white label and soon after on Kitsuné. Follow-up singles "Zdarlight" (2005) and "Jupiter Room" (2006) brought more fans, and as indie rock's dancefloor presence was increasing, the stage was set for their much-anticipated debut. Idealism arrived in 2007 and was licensed by Toshiba EMI in Japan, Astralwerks in the U.S.

Legendary German house music duo Booka Shade has remixed the Digitalism single Wolves and what a stunner it is!
At the start of the year, Hamburg duo Digitalism unveiled Wolves featuring Los Angeles-based indie-pop/rock act, Youngblood Hawke, and which hinted at new direction for Jens Moelle and Ismail Tufekci.
In preparation of the single’s release, Wolves has been given the remix treatment including one massive remix by Booka Shade. As evidenced on their recent remix of Hot Since 82’s Don’t Touch The Alarm, Booka Shade’s new remix is deep, and brooding and built for one thing, and one thing only – clubbing.
From the opening seconds, the listener is transported into a dark club and hypnotized by a deep production of thick synth-stabs and driving house beats.
A truly epic tune, at 7:37 Booka Shade’s remix takes the listener on a journey. Check out the break down section from 4:00, where keys – half- melancholic, half-euphoric – give the listener a moment’s respite before driving it back home.
An absolute peach of tune, though released on Digitalism’s own label Magnetism Records, this remix would actually be right at home on the Moda Black roster.
As for Digitalism, their story began when Jens Moelle & Ismail Tufekci met working in a record store in Hamburg with friend and fellow giant of electro Alex ‘Boys Noize’ Ridha in the early naughties. Like contemporaries Justice, Erol Alkan and Soulwax, their first album Idealism epitomised the indie-dance crossover sound of the time with follow up I Love You Dude (2011) showcasing a more refined sound and techno based production.
As DJ’s, Digitalism also began carving a following via their house and techno driven sets delivering hours of carefully programmed music, spanning many genres, but always maintaining their trademark sound.
This led to them being added to !K7 Records illustrious roster which includes Maya Jane Coles, Scuba, Tiga, Trevor Jackson, Four-Tet and John Talabot and their 2012 DJ Kicks release included 6 exclusively recorded tracks. Two years on the band have released on some of the biggest labels in dance music. Pryda, Spinnin, Toolroom, Kitsune and Axtone all released chart topping Digitalism tracks and supported DJ sets at some of the best clubs across the globe, affirming their position as a dance act to be reckoned with.

Having hinted at a change in direction with a soundcloud-only release at the start of the year, Hamburg duo Digitalism are back with ‘Wolves,’ the first proper single that further underlines this new direction. The track, set for release on 14th July via their own Magnetism Records, features Youngblood Hawke and aims to marry their own trademark European electronic sound with the US bands catchy, indie-pop vibes. The track has been given the deluxe remix treatment it deserves with Ed Banger favorite Riton, fellow German duo Booka Shade and the legendary RAC serving up their own reworks of the original.
It is fitting that ‘Wolves’ is finally ready for release and it may seem somewhat overdue for the fans that heard it premiere as the opening track of the pairs Boiler Room set back at Melt! Festival in 2013 and once again as part of their much-lauded ‘I Love Techno’ DJ Set later that year. Since then, the band’s socials have been a constant hive of discussion and speculation over the new sound, and demands for its release have been constant. The boys spent the early part of this year in LA, writing and producing new music, road testing new demos and trying out new ideas at their twice monthly East LA Warehouse parties. The reaction to these shows was incredible, police helicopters shutting down one sell out party due to eagerness of some unlucky fans who didn’t manage to get tickets.
The collaboration with Youngblood Hawke came about when Digitalism invited them to write a vocal for ‘Wolves.’ The result came together immediately, the song weaving multiple stories together with the basic premise evolving around the idea of companionship. In many ways, the track inadvertently picks up the mantle of classic European, electronic music dating back to the 70’s with Giorgio Moroder and Donna Summer – these italo-disco pioneers bringing together the synthesized sounds of Europe with American songwriting and vocals. It has the structure of an indie song but with EDM arrangements and techno and house sensibilities. ‘We like the use of light and dark; the song is upbeat and creates a euphoric atmosphere and the lyrics paint a grimmer picture.’ Youngblood Hawke

07. Neneh Cherry - Everything (Loco Dice Remix) [Smalltown Supersound | STS256]
Smalltown Supersound is a Norwegian independent record label with artists such as Neneh Cherry, Annie, Lindstrøm, Kim Hiorthoy, Carmen Villain, Diskjokke, Arp, Nissenenmondai, Mungolian Jetset, Tussle, Bjorn Torske, Todd Terje + much more.
The label releases Neneh Cherry's first solo album 'Blank Project' in 16 years – a collaboration with RocketNumberNine, produced by Four Tet, and featuring a guest appearance by Robyn.
The 10-track album, recorded and mixed over a 5-day period is a collaborative record with free jazz, noise collective The Thing, which featured new versions of songs by The Stooges, MF Doom, Ornette Coleman, amongst others.
Blank Project is a departure from anything Neneh has previously done, initially written as a means of working through personal tragedy. What stands out upon first listen is the album’s sparseness: loose drums and a few synthesizers are the only accompaniment to Neneh’s wildly poetic, sometimes-spoken, sometimes-screeching, soul-flooded and raw vocals. The space created by this minimal aesthetic leaves room for occasional pistes and flurries of rapid, yet throbbing and thunderous instrumentation. Featuring combined elements of beat poetry, avant-electronica and beautiful vocal melodies, it’s a record that uses simple ideas to create something entirely original.

08. Chris Fortier - Music Makes The Body (Him_self_Her Remix) [Selador Recordings | SEL012]
The Selador story continues a pace. And for the twelfth chapter we return to a track that you may already be familiar with as it originally debuted on the label's ADE collection late last year. Having received such acclaim on it's original release though, with the likes of Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, AFFKT, UGLH, Nic Fanciulli and Jimmy Van M all singing it's praises, we felt compelled to do the right thing and give it a full single release in it's own right.
And so Music Makes The Body by American DJ legend Chris Fortier steps back into the spotlight and comes with all guns blazing. The original comes in all it's born again glory courtesy of a new Dub which chops up the vocal heavily but is just as devastating on the dance floor.
For the remixes on this one, we're very happy to have secured two of our favourite producers in the form of the mighty Wehbba and the irrepressible Him_Self_Her.
Brazilian producer Wehbba delivers a techno workout sure to please his ever growing legion of fans. It's tougher than tungsten and hotter than the sun. A surefire weapon for your armory.
And that's not all, the cherry on top comes from hot UK production team Him_Self_Her as they close out the package continuing their current rich vein of form with their own glorious variation on the theme. Already picking up tonnes of plays from Digweed, Cattaneo, Seaman & Parry, believe us, this does the damage every time.
Et voila, another bumper package from the Selador camp. Take your pick people.
